TCO Fly Tying: Kids Summer School and Shop Tour – Bryn Mawr

When school is out Join TCO for a fun and educational fly tying class designed forstudents ages 11 to 16who are interested in fly fishing and the outdoors. Student guardiansare required to attend as achaperone.

While this class wont earn you any school credits or AP status, it willleave you with a solid understanding of the art of fly tying. No prior experience is necessary and well cover the basic tools and materials you’ll need and guide you through tying a couple of beginner friendly flies to take home and try out on your local stream.

The session also includes a fly shop tour, making this a great intro to the world of fly fishing!

• All tying materials will be provided for students to use but bring your favorite vise and tools if you have them.

• We will explore a variety of tools and the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.

• You will leave the class equipped with the skills needed to expand the craft and fill your fly box and get outdoors.
