Beginners Fly-Fishing School
Join TCO as we cover everything you need to get started in the exciting world of fly fishing through our time tested teaching curriculum. Our instructors will patiently explain and educate you on the basic concepts and fundamentals of casting, fly selection, entomology, reading the water and knot tying. The 6 hour hands-on lesson allows ample time for all your questions to be answered and common fly casting problems to be corrected. Don’t worry if you do not own a fly rod outfit, TCO is happy to provide a free rental to anyone enrolled in our Beginners School. The only thing you need to have on you is a PA fishing license.

TCO instructors will work with you for 6 hours with an equal mix of classroom and on the water time.

Class time: 9:30am to 3:30pm

The TCO Beginner Schools will consist of:

• Choosing the correct equipment
• Trout Behavior
• Basic knot tying
• Casting Workshop
• Basic dry fly and nymphing presentation
• Pattern selection
• Introduction to entomology
