We have linked the name and cosmetics of this reel to the famous original 506 reel, the 706 proved to be the UK’s best selling ABU reel for a number of years and using our engineers and consultants we have made some key changes to further improve the reel and convert it to 506 MKII.

• The new handle assembly is more secure and the syncro drag is more efficient (added carbon washers).
• Improved gear components have made the reel feel smoother and more powerful.
• The gear lock design has been improved: the pin now secures the gear without damaging it.
• Added an arrow on the reel rotor to help show the correct direction to remove.
• The button/pin release mechanism was improved. Now he is more positive and trustworthy.
• New ceramic coated line pin reduces rigging and increases winch power.
• Improved the quality of chenille to work properly.
• Advanced polymeric body with aluminum front cone.
• Instant on/off anti-reverse switch.
